What our clients say:
“ My small team of Finance, HR and IT senior managers had been working flat out for a long time and we were facing even more pressure in the future. We needed a chance to relax and hopefully find a way to improve our joint working and find more creative solutions to our problems. The way forward was to bring this slightly skeptical but willing-to-try-almost-anything-once group of hardened professionals to an Art2Motivate workshop. The challenge was by the end of the afternoon to work together in producing a single painting. None of us thought we had an ounce of artistic ability, but playing with paint and learning how to use it as we went along, we relaxed into it and found we were actually enjoying what we were doing.
We also discovered we were learning how we could work better together by using our combined talents all the way through a project, rather than just at the initiation stage as we had tended to do in the past; and all this through 90% playing with paint and 10% talking about it.
This was a really enjoyable day out expertly led by two of the friendliest facilitators in the business. The end result was a happy, relaxed group of people who now knew how to make things work better back in the office. Equally important was the large colourful canvas proudly displayed on the office wall, acting as a constant reminder of the lessons we had learned. ”

“ We invited Peronel Barnes of Art2Motivate to facilitate a creative session during the final day of our Matrix programme, an eleven-day leadership development programme for experienced leaders from across Oxfordshire.
We wanted an activity that would enable the group to work creatively to explore what they had learnt about leadership both individually and as a group. Peronel’s session achieved this aim beautifully as it required all of the participants to work both on their own and together in the creation of a collective piece of work.
We were extremely pleased with the session. The facilitation was excellent and the feedback from the participants was very positive. We had been concerned that some of the participants would be wary about this type of creative activity but in fact everyone seemed to love it and have lots of fun. As well as being enjoyable it was also clearly a very thought-provoking and interesting exercise. This was apparent in the feedback session as there was a good discussion around the issues that had emerged through the activity.
We would definitely recommend Art2Motivate and the creative group work Peronel facilitates. ”

“I just wanted to thank you for a very insightful and enjoyable afternoon. The Art2Motivate process is definitely a fascinating way to examine group dynamics, and also a brilliant exercise for actually creating a team from a group of diverse individuals. I felt a great sense of pride in our finished masterpiece.”

“The Human Resources team at Herbert Smith, which comprises 38 people, required a team-building session incorporating the department values of Vision, Visibility and Value Added. The session would be based around the values, led by the head of HR; the latter part of the session would involve six teams painting their interpretation of the values. The six teams each painted one section of a larger picture, communicating with other teams to ensure the painting would fit together at the end of the session.
“Peronel met with three members of the Learning and Development Team to scope the project and provided advice on how to approach the event; none of the Learning and Development team had delivered an event of this kind before. Peronel was extremely helpful in our initial meeting, making useful suggestion on how we should start planning for the event, valuable advice on the format of the day, equipment requirements and timings.
The event was a great success. The team enjoyed the painting and worked together to create a large picture from the six canvases. Peronel was an enthusiastic and effective facilitator on the day.
It was a pleasure to work with Art2Motivate.”
